Patron must not have a history of abusing or losing materials.
E-reader borrower must be a patron in good standing and must be a library cardholder for at least 3 months.
E-reader borrower must be over the age of 18 or have a parent/guardian
sign the E-Reader User Agreement.
Loan period is 2 weeks and is renewable for another 2 weeks, unless
there is a waiting list.
Very limited technical support is available from library staff and
only during the library’s open hours.
Do not download any books or games to the E-reader; there will be
a fine for doing so. If you would like to purchase an E-book for
the E-reader, please speak with the librarian.
Patron is solely responsible for this E-reader, do not let other
people borrow it or leave it where someone could steal it.
If someone else loses or breaks it while it is checked out to you,
you will still be charged. The borrower assumes full responsibility
for the cost of repair or replacement if the E-reader is lost, stolen
If you do not return or if you break the E-reader or its parts,
you are responsible to pay $150 for the Kindle or $500 for the
IPad2 to replace it.
Until replacement fees are paid, you will not be allowed to borrow
any library material.
E-readers must be returned in person in satisfactory condition.
E-readers may not be returned using the book drop – patrons may
lose borrowing privileges and be liable for damages should it be
returned in the book drop.
Library staff will conduct a physical inspection of each E-reader
when it is checked back in to ensure that it is intact, has
all of its accessories and is functioning properly.
Only 1 E-reader per household per 2 week check out period may be borrowed.
You will be asked to sign a User Agreement before borrowing the E-reader.
